A Commitment to Green Conservation

SMRUTI VAN

The Smruti Van project in Dongargan was officially inaugurated by Anna Hazare, marking a significant step toward environmental preservation. Shantikumarji Firodia Memorial Foundation has actively contributed to this initiative by pr oviding 100 protective enclosures for banyan trees, ensuring their growth and protection. Additionally, 100 protective enclosures were installed along Kedgaon Devi Road, safeguarding newly planted trees and enhancing greenery along the route. This initiative underscores the foundation ʼs commitment to sustainability, ecological balance, and a greener future.
Shantikumarji Firodia memorial foundation transformed the lives of more than 10 ,000 + people by regularly monitoring financial help for those in need of medical assistance. One-time medical help was pr ovided to o ver 6 ,000 people. We also assisted many who needed support for education and sports, bringing the much-needed air for them to rise in their lives and careers

Strengthening Emergency & Transport Services

In 2012, Shantikumarji Firodia Memorial Foundation provided a fully-equipped Force Cruiser ambulance to Shri Kalbhairavnath Devasthan Trust in Agadgaon. This initiative addressed the lack of emergency transport, ensuring timely medical care for rural residents and devotees visiting the temple. To further enhance accessibility, the foundation also provided a traveler vehicle for devotee transportation and a commercial van to support goods transport and public programs. These contributions have significantly improved emergency response, mobility, and logistics, benefitting the local community and devotees.

SUPPORT FOR PRISON REFORM & REHABILITATION

Under the Prison Reform and Rehabilitation Program, Shantikumarji Firodia Memorial Foundation provided essential kitchen equipment to the Ahilyanagar (Ahmednagar) District Jail. This initiative aimed to ensure that inmates receive nutritious and hygienic meals, contributing to their well-being and better living conditions. The handover took place in the presence of Mrs. Swati Sathe (Deputy Inspector General of Prisons, Western Region – Pune), Foundation Chairman Narendra Firodia, Mr. N.G. Sawant (Superintendent, District Jail), and Mr. Shamkant Shedge (Senior Prison Officer).

Digitization of Rare Books – Preserving Knowledge for Future Generations

In 2015, Shantikumarji Firodia Memorial Foundation supported the District Museum, Ahilyanagar (Ahmednagar) by providing a scanner, computer, tables, and chairs to digitize rare manuscripts and make them accessible to students and researchers. This initiative modernized the museum, giving new life to nearly 15,000 rare books and ensuring their reservation for future generations.

Supporting Animal Welfare at Panjarpol Gau Rakshan Sanstha

In honor of Late Motilalji Firodia, former president of Panjarpol Gau Rakshan Sanstha, Shantikumarji Firodia Memorial Foundation constructed a 160×100 ft shed to provide a safe and secure shelter for cows. This initiative ensures protection from harsh weather conditions, including extreme sunlight and rain, enhancing the well-being of the cattle. Through such contributions, the foundation remains committed to animal welfare and sustainable living.

Construction of a Gaushala

As part of the Baliraja Foundationʼs mission to establish 100 Gaushalas across Maharashtra, Shantikumarji Firodia Memorial Foundation has taken the first step by supporting the construction of a Gaushala in Nivdunge, Tisgaon, Pathardi. This initiative focuses on the conservation and care of non-milking indigenous cows, ensuring their wellbeing and protection. The construction is currently in progress and will soon be fully operational for cattle care and service.

FOOD VAN

On the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, April 26, 2021 , the Mobile Food Van Initiative was launched to pr ovide nutritious meals to those in need. This initiative ensures that food is available at a highly subsidized rate of just ₹10 per meal, while the actual cost of each meal is ₹29 . The remaining amount is contributed by the Shantikumarji Firodia Memorial Foundation and Mahavir Pratishthan. As of March 1 , 2025, we have successfully distributed 396,861 meals, making a significant impact by pr oviding affordable and healthy food option to the community .

AT KEDGAON INDUSTRIAL AREA

Motilalji Firodia Sabhagruha & Office

In 2015-16 , Shantikumarji Firodia Memorial Foundation constructed the Motilalji Firodia Sabhagruha at Kedgaon Industrial Area to serve as a dedicated space for meetings, gatherings, and events. Additionally, the foundation also built an office for the Ahmednagar Industrial Estate Co-op Society, pr oviding a functional workspace for industrial operations and administration.

A Symbol of Peace and Compassion

Ahimsa Chowk

In a collaborative effort, Shantikumarji Firodia Memorial Foundation, I L o ve Nagar , and Jai Anand Foundation came together to establish Ahimsa Chowk in Ahilyanagar . This beautifully designed structure serves as a symbol of peace, kindness, and reverence for Gau Mata, reinforcing the values of cow protection and nonviolence. It stands as a landmark, inspiring the community to embrace compassion, cultural heritage, and ethical responsibility in their daily lives.

Support for the State Intelligence Department

Shantikumarji Firodia Memorial Foundation, provided computers and essential furniture to the State Intelligence Department, Ahilyanagar , enhancing their operational efficiency and digital capabilities. This contribution aims to strengthen the department’s technological infrastructure, aiding in smoother and more effective operations.

COMMUNITY RADIO STATION

90 FM Radio Asha is a community radio station in Ahilyanagar , Maharashtra, known for its highquality programming and state-of-the-art audio recording setup. It stands apart as a unique platform dedicated to preserving the cityʼs history, culture, and identity, while also engaging the community with informative and entertaining content. With a mission to educate and empower, Radio Asha blends information with entertainment, making it a valuable resource for local listeners. As part of the “Vocal for Local” mo vement, it also supports regional businesses by helping them connect with the community. Equipped with two voice recording studios and a dedicated song recording studio , it offers a professional setup unmatched by any other community radio station in India.

Motilalji Firodia Center for Inspiration at Snehalaya

Constructed in 2014 by Shantikumarji Firodia Memorial Foundation, the Motilalji Firodia Center for Inspiration is a dedicated facility within Snehalaya, a renowned social organization in Ahilyanagar . Snehalaya has been working tirelessly to uplift women and children affected by HIV/AIDS, trafficking, and sexual violence, offering them shelter , education, healthcare, and rehabilitation. The center includes a reception area, a sales center showcasing handcrafted products made by Snehalaya residents, and a bookstore featuring Snehalaya publications. This initiative promotes social entrepreneurship , encouraging self-reliance among marginalized communities. Shantikumarji Firodia Memorial Foundation has been supporting Snehalaya from time to time, contributing to its mission of pr oviding dignity and hope to those in need.

VANVASI KALYAN ASHRAM (VICHAR BHARATI)

Supporting the G. M. Mulay Lecture Series

Shantikumarji Firodia Memorial Foundation has been supporting the G. M. Mulay Lecture Series organized by Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram (Vichar Bharati) since 2012 and continues to sponsor every event. This initiative aims to enlighten people on various important topics, fostering knowledge, awareness, and intellectual growth within the community. Through this long-term commitment, the foundation remains dedicated to promoting education and meaningful discourse.

Support for Rotary Endowment Fund

A contribution of ₹17,50 ,000 (equivalent to 25,000 USD) was extended to the Rotary Endowment Fund, which ensures future Rotarians have the resources to design and implement sustainable community projects year after year .
